Cozy Apple Cinnamon Waffles

These waffles are crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and drizzled with a spiced maple syrup that makes them unforgettable. Topped with a dollop of dairy-free whipped cream and crunchy granola, they’re weekend breakfast perfection.
Apple Waffle Batter
MAKES 8-10 WAFFLES
Dry Ingredients
1½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¾ teaspoon pink or sea salt
Wet Ingredients
1½ cups unsweetened applesauce
⅔ cup pure maple syrup
1¼ cups water
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions
In a large bowl, whisk together all dry ingredients until evenly combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together applesauce, maple syrup, coconut cream, water, and vanilla until smooth.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Preheat waffle iron and lightly grease only if needed.
Scoop batter into the hot waffle iron and cook until golden brown and lightly crisp on the edges, about 4-4.5 minutes.
Repeat with remaining batter.
